On April 13, Maxine and Anthony were wed in a beautiful, intimate wedding at the Mountain Springs Lodge in Leavenworth, Washington. Everything about this wedding was memorable and I am just SO happy to share their love story and wedding photography on the blog today.

Maxine + Anthony’s Mountain Springs Lodge Wedding

I'll never forget when I received Maxine's inquiry about her wedding day. The first thing that struck me was the date. It was only a month away from when she inquired. Which, in the wedding world, is a very short time-frame! And then, all she wrote was:

"We have lots to explain but first would like to know if you're available on 4/13? Thank you :)"

This made me smile, and I contacted her right away to let her know the good news that I was available. And I'm so stinking happy and thankful that I was! Maxine and AJ are magic!!! Working with them was a dream - they are my dream client. They have the kindest souls, love each other deeply, their love story is so sweet, dedicated and powerful, and they were an absolute blast!! If we weren’t laughing hysterically, we were crying happy tears. It was an absolute honor to capture their very intimate elopement-style wedding.

An Intimate Mountain Wedding

Their original plan was to have a large wedding down in Southern California. But, due to stresses within the family and other situations that were arising, they didn't feel like the wedding was focusing on what they wanted, which was each other and their love. Planning a big wedding can be stressful on its own! So, Maxine and AJ opted for a small wedding with only 24 guests. These guests were really more like tribe members… the ones who lift them up and celebrate every ounce of them. It was beautiful to watch and to be a part of!!

My quote for the couple:

It's true there is no such thing as a 'perfect marriage,' but I know you two are perfect for each other and that you will choose each other every single day. That's winning perfection!! Much love to you both and this is not good-bye, we will meet again!!
